The Swiss Amish congregations of Berne and Geneva are my people, and I love them dearly--so much so that I would gladly lay my life down for their salvation. Over the years, and throughout their history, there have been many divisions and splits over minor issues, where the more important issues--such as salvation through the Blood of Christ, and a holy walk of life were often neglected. This often led to alcoholism and sexual misconduct. These sins have infiltrated the church for many years.
I recall many years ago, at a very young age, when the County Sheriff came to my Dad's house, who was the bishop at the time, to inquire about one of the members in the church. This member was found to be violating a number of his own daughters, and this, over a span of many years. It was for this reason, among others, that my Dad had long since left the community with his family...
It appears that this demonic stronghold has entrenched itself deeply in the community, even in the midst of an otherwise beautiful landscape in the church, which in reality is the hidden spirit of Jezebel at work in her midst. (Revelation 2:20-24) Without exposure and open confession, this sin will remain hidden within the church.... I pray God for mercy on the Amish churches in Adams County, Indiana…
